What ages is The Coin Fairy for?

The game can be adapted for all ages approximately 4- 10 years depending on the child’s level. There are two levels of play- Level 1 for approximate ages 4-5 years and Level 2 for approximate ages 6+ years. Any concept can be taught, repeated or reinforced using the supplied, reusable game boards. 

WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD- small parts. Children should be monitored at all times.

What skills can I use The Coin Fairy to teach?

Level 1 play focuses on coin identification, one-to-one correspondence, counting onwards and simple addition. This level includes a challenge goal of skip counting. Level 2 play focuses on coin value, place value, addition within a coin class/ skip counting, addition for a monetary sum. This level includes a challenge goal of understanding the value of a dollar.

Do I need my own coins?

Play coins are supplied for convenience and mimic the effects of real coins. However, for some tasks such as coin identification, there is no substitute for the real thing!

Can I customize The Coin Fairy bank and bags?

Yes! Personalization is available for the bank and the bags.

Can I wash my bags?

Yes! The Coin Fairy bags are made from all-natural, eco-friendly burlap and linen fibers. While it is preferred to either spot clean or gently hand wash the pouches inside out to maintain the longevity of the bag, they are able to be machine washed on a gentle cycle. Directions: turn garment inside out, machine wash cold with mild detergent. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Air dry flat.

Are the bags safe for my child to use under his or her pillow?

Yes! All vinyl is CPSIA certified which designates them as child safe after undergoing rigorous testing for harmful materials such as phthalates and lead.

What color is the name on the bag if it is personalized?

Name is placed with the same glow-in-the-dark CPSIA-certified vinyl as the coin fairy logo. It will glow in the dark as well!
